천동설이라는 말을 사용한 것은 아무래도,

화자를 중심으로 모든 것이 도는 현상이 일어나고 있음을

상징하고 있는 말이 아닌가 합니다.

 

천동설의 핵심은 간단히 말하자면, '우리가 사는 곳을 중심으로 모든 것이 돈다' 가 될 수 있겠지요.

지동설은 '우리가 사는 곳이 사실은 돌고 있다' 일 것일 테고요.

 

Translation :

우리 주변을 달이 도네, 별이 도네, 태양도 도네, 빙글빙글 쉼도 없네.
그들이 돌고 있네, 우리도 돌고 있네.
서로의 주변을 돌며, 모두 어지러워져,
발들이 얽히네, 흔들흔들 흔들리네,
우주 멀미가 천공을 지나쳐 가네.

달과 태양의 궤도를 비스듬히 가로지르며,
안경이 도네, 종일 돌고 있네.
그대가 분실한 안경, 어제 회사에서 분실한 안경,
그대의 분실물들이 웬지, 계속 하늘을 돌고 있지.
모자, 손거울, 스카프 그리고 볼펜이,

"양산 갖고 싶어, 소중히 간직할 거야."
라 말한 다음 날, 역에서 잃어버린 거야.
이제 안 줄 거야, 양산 안 줄 거야.

어쨌든, 엄청난 것을 깨달았지,
파라솔이 잠시 멈춰버려,
다른 천체들이 그 주변을 도는 거야.
간단하지만 그리 생각하면, 모두가 놀랄 거야.
자세한 설명은 못하지만, 요컨대 내 사랑은 믿을 수 없을 정도로 깊다는 거야.
그대를 안아 우주의 우물에서 천공을 거쳐갈 거야.

 

English :

The Geocentricism in Parasol

Around us, the moon goes around, the star goes around,
And the sun goes around without rest.
They are going around, and we are going around,

After going across the solar lunar orbits,
