사계

 

 

'노래를 찾는 사람들' 이라는 옛 그룹의 노래로 그룹을 대표하는 곡입니다. :)

 

  밝기 이를데 없는 곡조와 다소 무미건조한 노래소리가 들려주는 아름다운 풍경과 대비되는 처량한 현실을 보여주는 곡으로 1970 ~ 1980 년대 산업화 시대의 어두운 일면을 상징적으로 보여주는 노래로서 평가를 받았지요. :)

  고금의 여느 K-POP 음악보다도 한국어의 특징을 잘 살린 명곡으로 타 언어에서는 볼 수 없는 한국어만의 특징을 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있는 곡이기도 하지요. (그래서 타 언어로 번역할 때, 이 표현들을 온전히 재현할 수 없어 의역을 좀 했습니다) 가사에 운율도 있어서 가사만으로도 한 수의 시를 낭독할 수 있기도 해요. :)

 

가사는 4 절까지 있으며, 1 절 내용을 반복하면서 끝납니다.

 

  민중 가요의 성격을 띠고 있습니다만, 경쾌한 곡 분위기는 당대 대중 가요스러운 면이 있었으며, 라디오 방송 등을 통해 자주 들려오기도 했었지요(저도 어릴 적, 라디오 방송을 통해 들은 기억이 나기도 해요). 요즘에는 예능 등에서 반복되는 일상, 작업 등이 있음을 나타낼 때, 쓰이기도 합니다. - 무한도전의 기획 중 하나였던 '뮤지컬 무한상사' 가 그 원형일지도(?).

미싱에 대응된 단어들 :

영어 - sewer, 프랑스어 - conseur, 에스페란토 - kudrilo, 인도네시아어 - penjahit

  모두 직역하면 '재봉하는 이' 이고, 재봉틀을 의미하는 말이 되려면 '기계' 를 의미하는 단어가 들어가야 하지요. 그럼에도, 가사 길이를 원어에 맞게 줄일 수 있도록 단일 단어를 사용하려 하였습니다. :')
